What exactly is Recess Hotel + Club?

Recess Hotel + Club is a new kind of stay in the heart of Savannah. Part hotel, part social club, and part gathering place, Recess brings together travelers, locals, creatives, entrepreneurs, and curious minds under one roof. With guest rooms, restaurants, rooftop pool and bar, wellness amenities, coworking spaces, event venues, and Club Recess, it’s designed for the moments that happen between work and play.

Do I need to be a member to stay at Recess?

Not at all. Anyone can book a stay at Recess Hotel. While Club Recess offers members additional access, benefits, and programming, hotel guests can enjoy many of the property’s restaurants, bars, rooftop pool, wellness amenities, coworking spaces, and public areas during their stay.

What’s the difference between staying at Recess and joining Club Recess?

Staying at Recess gives you access to the hotel experience, including accommodations, dining, wellness, and social spaces. Club Recess is a membership program designed for those who want Recess to be part of their everyday routine. Members enjoy expanded access to club spaces, exclusive programming, special events, wellness benefits, and a community of like-minded locals and travelers.

Is Recess designed for visitors, locals, or both?

Both. Recess was created to bring people together, whether you’re visiting Savannah for a weekend or live around the corner. Hotel guests, members, and locals all contribute to the energy of the property, creating a place where new ideas, conversations, and connections happen naturally.

What makes Recess different from a traditional hotel?

Most hotels are designed around where you sleep. Recess is designed around what happens when you’re awake. From rooftop gatherings and coworking sessions to wellness rituals, shared meals, and unexpected introductions, Recess creates opportunities for people, ideas, and experiences to intersect. It’s less about checking in and more about becoming part of what’s happening.
